The Bon-Aire II
Zinc Anode
All the same features of the Original SunFlower Zinc Anode
If the cooler pan is made of fiberglass or plastic, the patented Bon-Aire II should be installed. It does not have to be grounded to the cabinet like the Bon-Aire I.
The Bon-Air II comes grounded to a strip of copper and is laid in the pan instead of being grounded to the pan. The copper corrodes the zinc, which make the anti-fungal zinc oxide salts.
In the fall or in the spring, the zinc salts can be vacuumed with a "shop vac" and the anode replaced if it has "dissolved." The pads can be inspected and replaced, if necessary.
